Our partnering facility is seeking a qualified Quality and Infection Prevention Specialist - Dialysis (DIA) - Full Time to join their clinical team.

What You’ll Do:

The QIPM has a span of control activities with the primary goal of focusing on reducing the risk of nosocomial infections and assuring that high-quality care is being delivered based on established regulatory policies. Activities include:

•       Performing continued collection, review, and analysis of nosocomial infection data; conducting benchmarking analysis of nosocomial infection data, prevention procedures, policies, and initiatives with national and international standards and best practices; identify quality improvement opportunities, providing recommendations to clinical areas, and facilitate implementation of best practices across the hospital; provide staff with relevant and current infection prevention and quality education for departments.

•       Ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through assessment of the overall daily departmental function and staffing of the unit/department while working in partnership with HealthTrust Workforce Solutions clinical leadership and hospital/divisional teams.

•       Focuses on performance operations/gap analysis in the clinical field and provides reports on a routine basis based upon onsite and remote site visits.

•       Evaluates the provision of nursing care according to established policies/procedures.

•       Reviews the environment of care as it pertains to the clinical space physical environment and makes recommendations for clinical improvements based on established best practice.

•       Reviews machines utilized in the department for patient care for sterilization, functionality, and operationally. Position is responsible for other duties as assigned

To Get Started You Will Need:

  • MS Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, MPH in Epidemiology or related field (Highly Preferred)
  • Infection Prevention (CIC) or Quality Certification (CPHQ) within 2 years of hire required.
  • Current and Unencumbered State Nursing License Preferred
  • At least 1 year of recent Dialysis Experience preferred
  • Current BLS Certification Required
  • Willing to travel
