WHAT YOU’LL DO:

AVP, Travel Operations is responsible for assisting in setting parameters to judge how efficiently and effectively the organization is operating.  Responsible for targeting specific areas in which the company may need to improve operational efficiency.  Also responsible for building and maintaining operational relationships with all production and support teams within the company.  When an area of improvement is identified the AVP, Travel Operations will take ownership in seeing the agreed upon change is implemented from start to finish.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all areas of the business and the services offered; develop a broad and deep knowledge of all areas and services
  • Process review, mapping and improvement. Current state to future state: identifying opportunities for process improvement to ultimately improve operations, efficiencies and service to our staff, customers and candidates.
  • Utilization of data and metrics to measure productivity, trending and improvement in all areas of focus
  • Develops, recommends and executes on recruitment efficiency strategies
  • Develops, recommends and executes on candidate engagement strategies
  • Develops and implements operational strategy for any additionally assigned areas
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates programs to promote recruitment and retention activities and the development and continued education of employees
  • Provide analytical support to internal management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities
  • Consults with and advises the CEO/SVP/CFO/VP HR on problems relating to the operation of the organization.
  • Accurately assesses, plans, designs, integrates, coordinates and directs services using a collaborative process, according to the scope of service offered that is consistent with resource allocation, organization policies and operational plans.
  • Obtains feedback from staff regarding areas of inefficiency so an improvement plan can be established
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach; assign accountabilities, set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
  • Reviews, reports, and analyzes financial data, volume of business, and tracking reports as indicated
  • Ability to collaborate with departments at headquarters including: Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Audit, Finance, Marketing/Communication, Sales and IT
  • Maintains confidentiality and appropriate access of all employee information.
  • Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned
  • Requires travel from 5-10% of the time.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s in Business Administration preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years Management experience within the Staffing or Recruiting industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Exert up to 20 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs frequently and/or 5 lbs constantly.
  • Requires prolonged sitting some walking, standing, repetitive tasks/ motions and stretching.
  • Requires clarity of vision, eye-hand-foot coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Requires the perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound
  • Requires normal eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
  • Requires; dexterity to type.
